The project to use the QMR Technology also in Aesthetic Medicine with Rexon-age 2, comes from an intense work of scientific research, carried out both within the Company and in close collaboration with the Department of Human Anatomy and Physiology of Padua’s University.

Thanks to the fundamental contribution of the research carried out at the Univerity’s labs, it was possible to understand the principles of action at the base of cell stimulation.

Unlike many devices nowadays available on the market, which are limited to produce a simple heating of the derma by Joule effect, Rexon-age promotes cell stimulation in a very peculiar way, keeping the temperature low and avoiding, therefore, the risks and side effects that its excessive increase may cause.

QMR high frequency electric fields stimulate the production, by the fibroblasts, of new collagen and elastin fibers, which are an essential constituent of the extracellular matrix. The presence and density of these basic proteins in the dermis determines its tightness, tone and elasticity.

As we age, the density of these proteins tend to steadily decrease (it is estimated that during the adulthood their reduction is about 1% per year). This leads to the well-known signs of aging skin, such as the formation and deepening of wrinkles, skin sagging, reduction of elasticity and firmness.
