Broselow-Luten Color Coding Kids Hospital System endorses only one pediatric cervical collar -- the Miami Jr. The Miami Jr. is designed to fit the different anatomy of patients under 12 years of age. It is inteded for use in patients who suffer from SCIWORA Syndrome, degenerative disorders, spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis. It also acts as a C-spine precaution for trauma patients and immobilizing patients for pre and post operation on the C-spine. The Miami Jr is free of latex and is compatible with all imaging machines. The patented airway back design with flared occipital support is specifically designed to support the anatomy of children up to adolescence. The Miami Jr comes in four sizes to ensure proper spine immobilization. The Sorbatex pads protect the skin for extended use and can be easily removed for cleaning.
