Ophthalmoscopes - is the staple instrument of the optometrist, used to examine the interior of the eye. Ophthalmoscopes work by redirecting bright light through a prism and into the eye. Retinoscopes - is a device for performing ophthalmoscopy using light, devoid of the red part of the spectrum, is used for a detailed study of the retina and its vessels.
