Darren is a Physical Therapist and a Certified Wound Specialist, has held clinical positions all over the country including Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, CA, Magee Rehabilitation in Philadelphia, PA and most recently Mercy Rehab Associates in Darby, PA. He also served as the Director of Rehabilitation Services at Philadelphia Nursing Home in Philadelphia, PA. For the past 6 years Darren has taught in various Physical Therapy programs in the Philadelphia region including appointments at Temple University, Thomas Jefferson University, University of the Sciences and currently an adjunct appointment at Drexel University. In addition to wound care, Darren’s focus of treatment has been in the rehabilitation of individuals with spinal cord injuries. Throughout his career, Darren also has had extensive experience with seating and positioning, pressure mapping and cushion and wheelchair prescription for individuals with various impairments. His area of interest in clinical research is in the utilization of modalities to accelerate the healing process. Darren is a Fellow in the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care who has lectured nationally and internationally on the subject of chronic wound healing and seating and positioning options.
