Orion Welders is owned by Sunstone Engineering Research and Development Corporation. We are dedicated to providing superior technical products at affordable prices. Sunstone Engineering specializes in designing, engineering and manufacturing fine spot micro welding solutions. Our product line includes Capacitive Discharge, AC, Pulse Arc, and Micro TIG welding systems that are used in a variety of research and manufacturing fields and industries.
The Orion Welders brand was launched in 2008 with the goal of finally providing a pulse-arc welding solution that could meet the needs of the market. Within the jewelry industry there already existed a few pulse arc welders, but unfortunately these products were limited in their capabilities and ease-of-use. Because of these limitations, numerous jewelers contacted Sunstone Engineering to inquire if our micro welding experts had any pulse arc welding soluitons. Our Ph.D. engineering team listened to the needs and wants of these jewelers and then responded by designing and manufacturing a pulse arc welder full of features and capabilities that allowed jewelers to better accomplish their bench work.
Since 2008, Orion has developed 5 different product lines, each with different models and feature lists. These different product lines and models were specifically and strategically designed to ensure that Orion Welders has the product for each of our customers. Developing 5 different product lines in just a few years means that we need to be creative and innovative- always thinking of ways to improve- always asking the questions that have never before been asked. Orion Welders has done just that. And it is no surprise that the industry (customers and competitors) has followed.
