Gastric lavage sets are used for the process of cleaning out the contents of the stomach. involve the passage of a tube via the mouth or nose down into the stomach followed by sequential administration and removal of small volumes of liquid. Used in Gastroenterology. Rectal enema sets have 40 instruments, in which there are ten of each of the four distinct equipments. First, there is the anoscope, which is a short speculum for examining the anal canal and lower rectum; the rectoscope, which is a speculum or tubular instrument with illumination for inspecting the rectum; and the sigmoidoscope with light source used to examine the lumen of the sigmoid colon.
