Cardiac ablation catheters
Cardiac ablation catheters - medical thin flexible wires which are put in a blood vessel and guided into the heart. These catheters are used during a cardiac ablation, i.e. a procedure that is performed to destroy small areas in the heart that may cause the heart rhythm problems. A special machine sends energy to the patient’s heart through one of the catheters. As a result, small areas of the abnormal heart tissue are destroyed. Used in Cardiology.
